The story behind Bloom Illusions
Hi, I'm Denieka
I don't have a favourite colour. I don't have a signature style. I genuinely love everything — soft and romantic, dark and moody, bold and maximalist, clean and architectural — and I always have. For the longest time I thought that was a problem. Turns out it's the whole point.
My mind doesn't work in straight lines. I hyperfocus on detail in a way that borders on obsessive, I get bored doing the same thing twice, and I am completely, genuinely incapable of producing cookie-cutter work.
Variety isn't just something I enjoy. It's something I need. Every new brief is a puzzle I haven't solved before, and that's exactly the kind of challenge my brain was built for.
I'm the kind of person who can walk into a brief, absorb everything about a couple — their personalities, their venue, their half-formed ideas and chaotic Pinterest boards — and find the thread that ties it all together into something that feels completely, specifically theirs. Not mine. Theirs.
That's what Bloom Illusions is built on.

The Brand
For a long time, Bloom Illusions looked like a lot of other wedding florists. Soft. Pretty. Romantic. Safe. And it was beautiful — but it wasn't honest. It didn't reflect the way I actually work, or the range of what I actually create, or the kind of couples I actually want to work with.
The rebrand wasn't about chasing a trend. It was about finally telling the truth about what Bloom is.
The BI mark is always ink or bone — it never changes, no matter what surrounds it. Look closely and you'll find a hand-drawn peony nestled within the letterforms — one I designed myself, and a quiet nod to where Bloom began. It's the only thing carried forward from the original brand, and intentionally so. Everything else was rebuilt from the ground up.
The colour, the mood, the aesthetic of everything around the mark shifts constantly — because that's what I do. Every campaign, every styled shoot, every social post takes its world from the work itself. A deep red moody installation gets a dark dramatic frame. A soft white garden elopement gets something completely different. The mark stays the same. Everything else moves.
That's not inconsistency. That's the brand. And it's the most honest thing I've ever put into the world about how I work.
What it's like to work with me
You come to me with whatever you have — a feeling, a folder of screenshots, a venue you love, a colour you can't quite name. I ask a lot of questions. I listen harder. Then I go away and I find it — the thread, the direction, the version of your day that feels like you and nobody else.
You'll see it before anything is made. Digital mockups, proposals, refinements until it's exactly right. No surprises on the day. No compromises on the detail. I'm the person who notices when something is slightly off and fixes it before you ever have to ask.
I work across every style because I genuinely love every style. That's not a marketing line. I get as excited about a bold, maximalist, colour-drenched brief as I do about a minimal, monochrome, architectural one. The challenge of finding something I've never made before isn't something I tolerate — it's the part I live for.
Your wedding won't look like the last one I did. That's a promise.

It's more than just flowers. . . it's ART
